Show Cattle season is underway

28th Apr 2019

The Rockhampton Grammar School has started its Show Cattle team season for 2019.

The Caves Show attracted a strong showing from RGS students on 27 April.

RGS was well represented as the strongest team fielded with 21 students, with RGS Year 12 student, Isabella Hanson asked to judge the compact cattle ring. Isabella did herself proud.

The School also took out the two show championships, as well as two reserve champions. The majority of the cattle performed beautifully in their first show with only one securing an golden ticket to the Callide carcass competition.

RGS Teacher In Charge of the Show Cattle Team Mr Hardy Manser said congratulated the Year 7 students who not only took out a number of ribbons in their first show for RGS, but also achieved a personal best in attending their first show and built up their confidence.
