RGS ready for battle at QISSRL and QISSN
The annual Queensland Independent Schools rugby league and netball championships will converge on Bundaberg from 1-5 July.
Each year QISSRL (Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Rugby League - Confraternity) and QISSN (Queensland Independent Secondary Schools Netball) provide RGS students with an opportunity to compete against some of the best schools in the State in a competition that develops character, challenges students physically and mentally and provides each student with an experience they will never forget.
The First VII Magic won the inaugural QISSN competition in 2000 and have recent victories in 2014 and 2015. The First XIII had strong top 4 finishes from 2008-2012 and won the Confraternity Shield in 2017.
This year is the 40th Confraternity Shield and 20th QISSN competitions in Bundaberg, which will again be well supported by RGS families and supporters.
RGS Director of Co-Curricular Mr Todd Wells said the School is hoping to be able to live stream matches on the respective RGS Netball or RGS Rugby League Facebook pages.
