National Recognition for RGS Early Learning Centre
The Rockhampton Grammar School has continued to receive external validation of it’s high standards and commitment to the education, safety and wellbeing of children.
The School’s Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten have recently both received “Exceeding” ratings across all seven quality areas within the National Quality Framework (NQF). The NQF provides a national approach to regulation, assessment and quality improvement for early childhood education and care and outside school hours care services across Australia.
Centre Director, Ms Adeina Shackleton said that “Achieving this rating is a credit to the hard work of the staff at the Centre and to the families who entrust their child’s education to us. To achieve this recognition in a year where the Centre was challenged by the impact of the pandemic, is testimony to the deeply embedded commitment to quality standards in all aspects of our operations.”
The Centre has maintained it’s “Exceeding rating” since 2014, showing exemplary commitment to the standards associated with the seven quality areas of:
- Educational program and practice
- Children’s health and safety
- Physical environment
- Staffing arrangements
- Relationships with children
- Collaborative partnerships with families and communities
- Governance and leadership
Established in 2007 the RGS Early Learning Centre enrols 210 children from the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years.
