BEEF Australia Scholarships

The Rockhampton Grammar School, in collaboration with BEEF Australia, is proud to offer scholarships designed to cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders.


2026 BEEF Australia Scholarship applications are now open. 

Applications close on Wednesday 12 March, 2025.

These scholarships support students with a strong passion for agriculture, providing them with invaluable exposure to cutting-edge developments and career opportunities within the beef industry. Recipients will benefit from mentoring experiences and take on a formal role at BEEF 2027. The BEEF Australia Scholarships are open to new students entering Year 10 in 2026.

Benefits
  • Successful applicants will receive a partial scholarship to The Rockhampton Grammar School for the duration of their enrolment*. This scholarship is applicable to tuition fees and boarding fees (if applicable). Please note that the scholarship does not cover other school-related expenses, such as levies, uniforms, textbooks, supplies, co-curricular activities, excursions, and camps.
  • Successful applicants will receive exposure to the latest developments and opportunities in the beef industry through mentoring experiences with BEEF Australia and a formal role at BEEF 2027.

* Please note that the scholarship will be reviewed each year to confirm the student is meeting all the necessary requirements.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a BEEF Australia Scholarship at RGS, applicants must:

  • Be entering Year 10 in 2026;
  • Be a new enrolment to the School;
  • Have demonstrated strength and interest in agriculture;
  • Have a record of good academic performance, behaviour and effort;
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian Permanent Residence Visa.

Please note that Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster.

How to Apply
Step One

Applicants are required to complete an RGS Scholarship application form, including uploading supporting documentation (outlined below).

Step Two

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend an interview with the School. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised. 

Step Three

If a Scholarship offer is accepted, an RGS Application for Admission must be completed.

Supporting Documents

The following supporting documents are required when submitting an RGS Scholarship application form:

  • Last three Semester school reports
  • Latest NAPLAN report
  • A letter of application (single-sided, A4) from the student addressed to the Headmaster, Dr Phillip Moulds. Applicants are encouraged to provide evidence in their application letter of their demonstrated strength and interest in agriculture as well as their desire to engage with school life at RGS.
