The Rockhampton Grammar School offers needs-based Bursaries to students entering RGS in Years 7 through 11, who would greatly benefit from an education at The Rockhampton Grammar School, but who without financial assistance would be otherwise unable to attend.
To be eligible to apply for a Bursary at RGS, applicants must:
Applicants are required to complete an RGS Bursary application form, including uploading supporting documentation (outlined below).
Please submit Bursary application and supporting documentation to the Registrar via email (registrar@rgs.qld.edu.au).
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend an interview with the Headmaster. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised.
If a Bursary offer is accepted, an RGS Application for Admission must be completed.
The following supporting documents are required when submitting an RGS Bursary application form:
A Bursary may cover all or part of the student's tuition fees. Each Bursary is subject to annual review of the student’s all-round performance and active involvement in school life, and the family’s ongoing financial position. The Scholarship does not apply to any other School fees, including boarding fees, levies, uniforms, textbooks and supplies, co-curricular costs, excursions, camps etc.
A current student of The Rockhampton Grammar School cannot apply for a Bursary, except on a demonstrated ‘needs’ basis due to a significant change in circumstances. Current RGS families in this situation are welcome to complete a Special Circumstances Bursary Application. Please contact the Finance Manager for more information.
For more information on Bursaries, please contact the Registrar, Mrs Marissa Holloway:
