Titans Scholarships

The Rockhampton Grammar School, in partnership with the Gold Coast Titans, proudly offers an elite Scholarship designed to develop the next generation of rugby/rugby league talent.

Benefits
  • The successful applicant will receive a full or partial scholarship to The Rockhampton Grammar School for the duration of their enrolment*. This scholarship is applicable to tuition fees and boarding fees (if applicable). Please note that the scholarship does not cover other school-related expenses, such as levies, uniforms, textbooks, supplies, co-curricular activities, excursions, and camps, or travel to and from the Gold Coast for training and games.
  • The successful applicant will sign a contract with the Gold Coast Titans, which includes:
    • Participation in the Titans' programme based on identification and recommendation.
    • Opportunities to represent the Titans Academy.
    • Access to Titans coaches and training.

* Please note that the scholarship will be reviewed each year to confirm the student is meeting all the necessary requirements.

Eligibility
  • The student must be a male student entering Years 10 or 11 in 2025.
  • The Scholarship is open to talented athlete-students who have demonstrated athletic excellence at a national, state, or regional level.
  • Based on the talent identification process, athletes with potential future development and success will also be considered. 
  • Education remains a priority. Therefore, Scholarship criteria will consider academic performance, behaviour, character and effort.
  • The student must be available to represent the School in both Rugby League and Rugby Union. 
  • The student must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or holder of an Australian Permanent Residence Visa.

Please note that Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Headmaster and the Gold Coast Titans.

How to Apply
Step One

Applicants are required to complete an RGS Scholarship application form, including uploading supporting documentation (outlined below).

Step Two

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend an interview with the School and Titans staff. Unsuccessful applicants will be advised. 

Step Three

If a Scholarship offer is accepted, an RGS Application for Admission must be completed.

Supporting Documents

The following supporting documents are required when submitting an RGS Scholarship application form:

  • Last three Semester school reports
  • Latest NAPLAN report
  • A letter of application (single-sided, A4) from the student addressed to the Headmaster, Dr Phillip Moulds. Applicants are encouraged to provide evidence in their application letter of their sporting achievements, leadership skills and their desire to engage with school life at RGS.
