Setting new RGS netball goals in 2025

Students at The Rockhampton Grammar School are set to benefit from a new netball partnership between the School and Gold Coast Titans Netball.
The partnership provides a new netball pathway for both RGS netballers and coaches.
RGS Director of Co-Curricular Mr Todd Wells said this partnership with Gold Coast Titans Netball will provide further skills development opportunities for RGS netballers while also providing coaching development opportunities for RGS netball coaches.
“As this partnership develops, it will provide an opportunity for RGS netballers to visit the Gold Coast Titans Netball programme and also allow for Titans coaching staff to visit Rockhampton and work with RGS netball players and coaches,’’ Mr Wells said.
Gold Coast Titans Netball compete in both the Netball Queensland Sapphire and Rugby Series competitions.
The RGS campus will host clinics and camps, while the Gold Coast Titans staff will visit RGS to support the programme and provide highly valued netball expertise to help further develop the region’s young players.
Mr Wells said this partnership allowed talented young netball players to remain in a regional centre while at the same time being mentored and guided by a leading netball franchise in the Gold Coast Titans.
“This is an exciting opportunity for RGS students who play netball, providing an additional opportunity to further develop their skills and broader knowledge of elite sport,” Mr Wells said.
“RGS is a strong supporter of netball in Central Queensland, and this partnership will help further strengthen ties to the sport.
“RGS thanks the Gold Coast Titans Netball for their support of this partnership and welcomes their vision to build netball at the school further.”
